Still factoring in the time, margin for error and the fact you actually have to take measuements and ensure a proper fit it's worth it to buy it from a vendor who has already mastered this even if it costs $100 more if you don't see my point I don't understand how you are allowed to drive.
I agree with you being harsh, I think the price is great, I can weld myself and wouldn't mind doing it, I enjoy modding my own car and having custom stuff...To his own.

If this is for your accord, compatability with the TL's I can't answer and won't argue because I don't know it to well.

Why do you want a 3" compared to a 2.5". I mean obviously it will sound different but have you seen if the difference is worth it?

Sorry for being harsh lol

Its cool. Im one of maybe 5-6 accord owners postIng/lurkIng In thIs sectIon. Multiple people have had gains by swapping to 3" from the 2.5" exhaust. So why not. Loud exhaust don't bother me.

Understandable but I still don't see a significant difference being possible do you have dyno charts?

So would this in your opinion we worth the time and effort for your normal non mechincal driver?

No dyno charts here. But I will have some after its installed. And hopefully pre-muffled and muffled. There are some over on v 6 p . N e t from Accords.

If you can find someone do to good welding for cheap I would say yes. But you also have the ability to find a exhaust used

So the two videos of car with no mufflers

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMYv...e_gdata_player
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CHG...e_gdata_player

The exhaust need modified...
1.Cut about a foot our of the mid pipe where the flange was.
2. Cut ~2" out of the long section on the Y split.
3. Angle cut the short part of the Y to aim muffler straight
4. Cut and rotated short Y up because muffler aimed down.

Some pics

Last pic you can see two spots were modified above.

Yeah you can add one to tame it down a little more if you think it's too loud or if there is too much drone. I would look into a Dynomax resonator, I see a couple on their site with a 3.5" inlet/outlet so it will fit over the new exhaust piping without having to modify it.

3.5" resonator would be far to big to "slip" over the existing pipe, best would be a 3" od or id depending on the pipe diameter the kit came with.

Not a bad alternative.. if I didn't have my RV6 TD I would probably give this exhaust system a shot.

What kind of mufflers are you using, Atlas? Also.. I think the exhaust would sound better if you threw on a resonator.

Wow awesome find. I think I will be purchasing one of these very soon.

Add 2 magnaflows to it and it should be good to go.

http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.com...EXHAUST/Detail

I am going to try to use my 2 stock mufflers....lets see if I can pull it off. I am having trouble finding a reducer, but I might be able to get a custom reducer made. I dont want to have it welded, I want to use clamps. I will take pics of everything as I am putting together and onto my car.

I wonder how it would sound if you just put one larger muffler in the middle and straight to the tips, instead of paying for 2 mufflers. I still have stock piping but run no rear mufflers and still have the mid and a Dynomax res in place of the stock one. I just can't see the advantage of having 2 unless you want more noise control as long as the muffler is straight through.

I would put two muffler in the middle and a resonator where the mufflers usually go.
