Mandrel Bent Pipe on HKS

I have 2 universal HKS mufflers that I want to put on the TL. Is it worth the extra $$$ to go with the mandrel bend? I got a quote of $480 from the cat back for Mandrel bent pipe but as low as $130 for just regular bent pipe. Any knowledge on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Not worth the increase in price. There bends with the TL exhaust are not serious enough to warrant the need for mandrel pipes.

I say go for mandrel bend, you've already gotton the 2 HKS canister, no need to go half ass and go with a crush bend... It wont affect your performance very much, but it will affect it.

I want the job to be clean and as good as possible. Will there be any sound change from the 2 different types of bend ie. louder, raspy, or whatever?

OK so it was $400 and a perfect job mandrel bent. Miami Muffler is the $hit. Any one in south FLA needs to go here. The sound is so sweet I love it I would not have it any other way...A very deeeeeep growl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will try to post some pics I will try to take some later this week.
