Making 3rd Gen TL SH-AWD....
I'm just wondering what it'll take to make our 3rd gen TL SH-AWD.... I have recently came across a salvaged 2nd Gen RL with perfect engine, transmission, propeller shaft, computer, and the entire rear differential..... what will it take to make the 3rd gen TL SH-AWD? is it hard to do if we have all the parts?

well you'd pretty much take everything out of the rl and put it into the tl... whatever doesn't fit weld... and whatever wire is left unplugged find the plug... no idea about the motor tho... good luck

this is what will need to be done:
CUT THE TL IN HALF, AND WELD THE RL ENITIRE REAR END TO THE CAR.
The RL is longer and is constructed in an enitrely different manner around SH-AWD. Due to the rear diff, you would loose your back seats in the TL, and lose your trunk if you could mount it, you would have to get the drive-shaft under the car and connect it to the rear which would be a royal PITA, you would need to relocate the gas tank to the center of the vehicle to make room for the rear diff, and you would have such a heavy car, that it would be 3 seconds slower 0-60.
edit: I would try to see if they could part out the entire set, take the motor out and build a custom one like lookinco did.
