LSD swap from 6MT to 5AT
Hello everyone
I just purchased a used 2007 TL (NOT S, just TL)
but I was also looking at a 2004 TL 6MT (not sure if it was S) and I KNEW the 6MTs have helical LSD
But since I have to share the car with my sister, I had to pick automatic.
Well, first off, the 3.2L is great. I sold my old Chrysler SRT8 about 6 months ago and have been carless since, this is the first car (among 7) that ever made me grin.
(and that includes driving feel, audio, everything including MPG!)
I searched a bit and figured I can have my customized suspension and ride with
1. Eibach lowerings
2. Koni yellow adjustables
(I love the fact that all 4 corners are adjustable externally, without taking the shock off the car)
3. Eibach alignment camber bolt for about -1.5 camber
I'm not very jealous of the 3.5L V6, but that darn LSD!!
Has anyone done a direct bolt-on(-and-off) swap from 6MT to 5AT?? I would want a clutch LSD if I had snow, but I'm in South Carolina so I won't need that
Oh and any inputs for "weekend track machine" TL is greatly appreciated! - such as "you forgot strut tower brace"

Welcome man, I can definitely give you some tips for the track if you'd like them. Heck you could come down to Road Atlanta sometime when I'm there and you'd really get some education! lol My TL was tracked all the time as a DD so I know that side just as much as the full blown track car side. My thread is linked in my signature fyi.
Have fun! lol
