Looking to purchase a dryflow filter for my K&N intake

Didnt use the intake for a good while but since i resolved my issues with low end power, i am tempted to install it again . Mainly because of the sound.
The original filter is from 2004, nothing is really wrong with it, i cleaned it often so it still looks in really good shape but its a little old. I also like the idea of not oiling the filter.

I am looking at two of them
21-2027DK and 21-2027BF.

Which one is more preferred??

7"

Out of topic but, I remember you having that low end power issue. How did you solve it, what was the reason?

Lazy 02 sensor that finally went bad and popped a check engine light.

Both part #s are 7" filters and seem to be pretty much the exact same.

go with 21-2027DK

i think the gray one is brute force model ment for off road, it should be more durable. I will go with the red as this seems to be the more common filter.

You should look into Amsoil filter. A K&N air filter is designed for increased flow when compared to an OEM filter, so it lets through more dirt and dust compared to a filter designed to actual FILTER the air coming into the engine of harmful contaminants, and all for maybe 1-2hp?

Some better intake out there are Injen filters, Apexi filters that I like. The Amsoil cone filters have the velocity stack built into the design. It's an awesome filter that also actually does it's job at filtering the air. Just some thoughts on other interests.

Ohhh that's why I couldn't find it.
Yeah go with red one. Gray one is old
Guessing there is a reason they changed it
