Looking into a J-pipe..

So I'm pretty new to performance modifications for Hondas (I come from a long line of Mustangs and trucks). I was thinking about installing a J-pipe, but have some reservations for how this is gonna sound...

My current setup is a Comptech full cat-back system with a removed mid-muffler. I currently LOVE the way it sounds...

How much different will the sound be if I install lets say a XLR8 J-pipe? I would really love the low-end torque but am very hesitant it'll sound really raspy. Any comments/feedback is appreciated!

it will change the sound a little bit...but nothing raspy.

it only gets raspy when you add PCD's and you don't have a resonator on your exhaust.

yup, it will barely change the sound, especially if you keep the mid cat in place

The j-pipe will not alter the exhaust note much. It will make it slightly more aggressive and if you get our V2 a little more aggressive than our V1 j-pipe since our V2 j-pipe deletes the third cat.

Our V3 Jpipe is on sale. I have personally installed this jpipe on a TL with comptech exhaust and there is no rasp just a slightly more aggressive tone.

I highly suggest the Long tube J-Pipe that eliminates the third cat. If you leave the OEM first 2 cats, you should be fine. I had a J-Pipe and ATLP quads without the resonator nd LOVED the sound. I would never alter the 2 cats by the engine. TOO much money, and I want to PASS emissions with NO problems

All jpipes that eliminate the 3rd cat are good.
