K&N Cold Air Intake

I found this on ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cold-Air-Int...ht_2513wt_1377

I want to know if its a good deal? There not the K&N pipes but is it still worth buying? Thanks

To an extent. Sure the pipes arnt from k&n. But do you think the k&n pipes are made from top quality stainless/aluminum. And theres not much room to play with in our cars for resonance chambers and actual dyno gains of pipping dimension. Most of it is just gained from free flow.

And most "top" companies just make initial products here dyno tuned in states and ship them out to get outsourced by some taiwan company and sell them for the same price as they if they were manufactured here

I would do it if you wanted a budget intake and not trying to squeeze every last pony out of the motor. And i wouldnt get the k&n if that was your goal either.

I have the Short ram version of this intake from the same ebay seller. It's not bad, just nothing fancy. I had to purchase the EVAP and coolant hose, as it wasn't included.

Not a big deal, they have them at any auto zone if you tell them the length and size.

I would recommend an AEM dry flow filter over the K&N. Better protection and no oiling. I bought a very similar setup from ebay and the pipe has held up fine.
