Does anyone know of a good site online that sells this? I called all local dealers and they have never even heard of this part before!

Is this the same filter that was listed previously?

I just replied to Ron A - I did not set that as my Avatar. I wrote a comment about that very thread yesterday or the day before, I will look for that thread now, maybe it somehow became my avatar or someone hacked our site. Weird. I will not reply or write until it is fixed.

Holy F that is annoying - but how did it get there and better yet, whose car is that POS?

My aplogoes, I do not have avatars turned on, so I see no ones, and apparently not this one either.

Again sorry, but I will go look for that thread I replied to....

Tbone2004's avatar has been fixed. Actually he didn't have one and soopa had to fix the problem, since he is the only one who can.

The thread Tbone2004 replied to had the same bad pictures, and I had the writer use a different upload site and I changed it for him.

We have been having trouble with the pifiu upload site switching pictures. I don't know if someone is hacking their site or their software is bad, but anyway, if you use pifiu you should check your pictures often to see if they are still what you put in there.

Is there really an advantage to using the K&N filter? (Other than the advantage to K&N)

Strange... you guys are saying you have 33-2078, but I just went to the K&N website... it's stated part number is 33-2299 instead....(so which one fits our 2004 TL ?)

also, comptech will be comput out of ICE BOX CAI, and so will AEM,

which one should I get for maximum airflow or hp gain

K&N drop in vs AEM vs Comptech CAI ... ?

any suggestions?

33-2299 is the updated one that fits the TL. 33-2078 was the old one, which was actually made to fit a BMW 528. After numerous complaints from TL owners because it did not fit perfectly, K&N pulled it from their listing earlier this year. They just released the updated one last week. Just placed my order.

Yeah, you get to change your oil more often due to the dirt the K&N lets through

I paid close to 70 cause I needed it next day (going on a long trip for Thanxgiving).

Should be here this afternoon!!

In regards to the frequent oil changes due to the dirt, I have to change frequently anyway due to the way I drive.

(Original oil was at < 10% in the mid within 3200 miles)

Changed to Mobil 1 10w30 and she is smooth as silk now!!!

K&N Typhoon Kit

Thanks for the notice. Just ordered one too. Anyone know how good their Typhoon kit is? Was wondering if the Typhoon kit is worth the money.

What are the top 2 or 3 air filters in your (or anyones opinion).
I am the faithful Fram guy before coming to this site...I am in therapy now to undo all my Dad's preachings about fram.

But please, Is K&N the best? I Have to put oil on it???

Just looking for some advice on what filter to put in my TL's

Thanks. I appreciate any info anyone has.
