I wonder how much of that gain in tq is from the PCDs and what is from the J-pipe. I like my pre-cats

Those gains are insane over stock IMO. Recently converting from an Integra, I am classically trained to expect 1-2 HP from every bolt-on.

And as I believe was already mentioned, the peak HP number doesn't even tell the whole story, as your curve is consistently >20HP over the stock curve throughout the entire range. Thanks for convincing me to supplement my catback with all the additional bolt-ons I may need to get a job moonlighting at the waffle house or start donating plasma.

Nice numbers, should have done the before (stock) and after (jpipe/pcds). I would like to see the actual gains out of the mods. The car sounds quiet until you at WOT. Regardless, dyno's are awesome.

yeah....I wasnt going to take off my bolt ons and pay an extra 40 dollars for 3 more pulls.

you can clearly see the increase in power over stock, as my buddy has a bone stock 05 6MT TL.

the catback on stock cats/jpipe will gain you some ponnies which only means the richie pcd and jpipe yielded you more gains over stock what we were thinking....

Hey justnspace, besides the dyno results, did you feel a significance increase in power and torque usable on the streets? How is your gas mileage after these mods and perhaps any black carbon buildup on the bumpers? I'm interested in saving up for these mods!

I have my install threads and post impressions somewhere floating around.

Immediately after installing the PCD's and turning on the car, I could feel the pedal play re-act differently. and that was just turning the car on!

this is my first high rpm car (vtec).
I always hated driving normally, because there wasnt any power at 2k.

I fucking love 2k rpm now!!!!!!!
also, I dont daily drive the car. so when ever I do drive, I WOT everywhere.
I dont care about gas mileage at the moment.
but i bet if i did take it easy, i would see a 1-2mpg gain, maybe?

i dont have black carbon build up, its more of a brown color on the exhaust tips and bumper area.

Couple two or tree things I gotta say here..first lol at the VTAK!. Two..Now I really wish I went with the PCd's because even though I haven't dyno'd my car, there is NO WAY that the HFPCs and Jpipe yielded the same gains. And Third.. I can't wait to try out my Flip Camera!

yea but man the precats smell really bad , if that doesnt bother you then yea you should have went with PCD. I had both and at least from what it felt like, maybe because they sounded more aggressive or something else but it just felt like the car pulled harder. I just couldnt stand the smell of it and it made the exhaust look dirty and ugly . Im getting the comptech exhaust soon to compliment the HFC - V3JPipe. Should sound really nice. Right now i have rasp almost the same way as with PCD because i have the mid muffler deleted on the stock exhaust.

Couple of things,i had just had a misfire in cyl 2 couple of days before this (i think its cuz of bad gas) but i had reset my ecu and bought the chevron fuel/injector cleaner and used it. Then the misfire stopped after using it and running the tank down.

Me & Justin have raced a couple of times (in a safe closed course of course),first was with his j pipe and it was a 3rd gear roll. I got a jump (not a big one) and was pulling then i saw him catching up right away then i stopped when his drivers door was at my front fender. From a dig,i win tho.
Second we did several 20 roll,50 roll & 65 roll (with his current setup) and we were dead even all the way BUT mind you he was with a 240lbs passenger and he's lightened about ~70lbs. I am stock weight plus spare tire, jack, tools, child car seat and other stuffs in the car.

Its crush bent with magnaflow mufflers, same as stock size diameter i believe.. I dont know if i got any gains from it as ive never driven a bone stock 6speed TL before (my car came with the exhaust).

Emmanuel: I think that crush bent exhaust is hurting your low end. There's no way he makes more torque at 2.5K than you do @ peak with just PCD/Jpipe. If you upgrade to a catback, I guarantee you would feel a huge difference in low end.

The SAE correction factor depends on conditions... so it is not always lower.

I get a SAE CF of ~1.01

Multiply your numbers by that to get SAE corrected HP.

Nvm... for some reason I thought that the dyno was uncorrected.

Otherwise my post doesn't make much sense.

how did you calculate the correction factor ? I know you said depending on the temp/humidity/etc but how did you come up with 1.01...would like to learn...

Yeah i know,if only the car didnt come with it i'd have gone with mandrel bent catback.. I'll do that in the future tho after i get a J pipe & pcd but for now ill just accept what i have.

Sure the SAE will always be lower than STD, because it's correcting it to a warmer, more humid setting. Any internal combustion engine is going to make marginally less power at 77 degrees as opposed to 60 degrees.

And Justin, get a video of yourself whooping on that TSX V6!
