I just located a used tranny for $1195us. That is a low miles complete tranny with torque converter. The Dr.Evil complete rebuild is $4250 which includes modifying and upgrading the torque converter as well.

DO you guys think it is worth the upgrade? Total will be somewhere close to $6000 after installation.

Or I am thinking just upgrading the torque converter which would be $500 for a new one and $500 to upgrade it.

Any opinions or suggestions is apprecaited!

What do you mean you couldnt find any posts in 3G about DR EVIL....shit...you posted in that link I just gave you....and yes....CleanCL has it too......

There is not a single post in that thread regarding anyone ACTUALLY getting the upgrade for their 3rd GEN TL. All people were saying they will do it soon or what not. And I know CLEANCL has the upgrade, but his tranny is not the same as the one on the TL.

I believe againstallodds1 got into a group buy on aother web site vee six pee dot net (phoenetically)...so I think he is good to go too....but your right...not heard anything about it as far as progresss....

Seems like I will be the first one with a Dr.Evil because they told me they have never worked on one before. They haven't even looked at one before and thus they are not sure if a LSD could be fitted. Also they won't be able to change the gear ratios.

I was refering to a 3rd GEN TL on the above post. They have never worked on a 3rd GEN TL tranny before.
