Just got H&R coilovers installed on 07 TL-S!!!

So I know one of the guys at PerformancePalace.com and they set me up with the head honcho at H&R - long story short, they needed a guinea pig to test fit the different springs and coilover kit on an 07 TL Type-S so I gladly let them use mine. What I got in return was a brand-spanking new set of H&R coilovers on my new(ish) ride!!! Pics soon...no digi cam (I know, how ghetto).

The ride is nice! It seems smoother than the factory ride (not as abrupt over road imperfections) and it certainly handles way better. Lowered about 1.5 inch in the front and 1.2 in the rear (I think....) Sits right above the tire - basically no gap, but also not tucking.

Yay for free coilovers!!! And thanks to H&R and PerformancePalace.com!!! (The site is ghetto right now, but my buddy said they are going to be carrying all the new Comptech stuff when they crank it out...)

I think they retail for 1250? Dunno. Non-adjustable shocks...the head guy at H&R says u gotta autoX or be a shock-genius to really utilize an adjustable shock. He said he seen people set them all effed up like and screw up their rides. I dunno...I'm lazy anyways, wouldn't want to change nothin

haha I agree with the whole setting thing, I'd probably prefer it to be adjustable but it takes a lot of time to play around with. The drop looks good though, good to hear it rides nice too

Yo twon...me and glaze are from seattle. Let us know about those H&R's because we've been on the fence about those and the teins. I'd personally like to get H&R's instead. I have an 07 base and my boy has a 07tl-s. We're all rocking WDP's. Holla back homeboy.

Push the H&R's! I've had 6 whips already (i'm only 24....) and all have been lowered....this is by far the BEST setup I've had...

BUT...ain't nothin wrong with TEIN's! IMO you can't go wrong either way, but the Japanese stuff is always more 'spensive. The H&R's ride NICE tho...like, the factory set up is pretty abrupt when u hit a shitty road, or earthquake rivets (I5 around UW or past the Tully's building)...but on the coilover set, it is much smoother, and when u dip in a corner, it has WAY less body roll. (Dissappointing how much body roll the base TL-S has, for being a SPORT model).

So, the long and short of it is.....FACTORY SHOCKS SUX. Just change em.

Done deal..that'll be next on my list. I'm trying to figure out what these Tein Premium Spec Cruising Master Coilovers are. These things are made for the Lexus GS/ and Infiniti M models. If this is a very cush ride I may want to get ahold of these if they don't cost an arm and a leg (which might be the case). I know the Tein SS are common on the board but it would be nice to see if someone has tried those cruising master coils. Good lookin on the info on the coils man. I go to UW so I'm sure you'll see mine rollin around.

Website sux...just email in and deal with them that way.

Yeah, I'd been down for a photoshoot. Nice to know there's another 6-speed out there. FYI I actually work for Acura, so I know how little of those they make. My buddy has a ASM 6-speed also. But NBP and WDP are prolly the hottest, and CBP

Dunno, haven't ridden in a car with the Tein. The H&R's ride smooth - not super stiff. i would assume that the Teins are stiffer. Anyone know?

Is the H&R for the 04-06 non adjustable like this one? If it is I'll get those, I really don't feel like tampering with the suspension, just want an out of the box better ride.

PerformancePalace sells the H&R kit for 895. I don't think its on their site. You'll have to email them.
