sure, i have no doubt mikes will flow a little better than richies, just looking at the design alone, BUT nobody has taken into consideration the sound mikes might produce. richies design DOES NOT compromise the exhaust tone whatsoever. take it from a guy whos been through 3 pipes already, all differently designed, all with different sounds. the one i had very simular to mikes had a very nasty rasp to it, while richies adds a very nice deep growl, with zero rasp. his is by far, the BEST sounding one ive had and its very nicely constructed too.

The type-s uses the same restrictive J-Pipe as the Accords, and TLs. The only thing that flows better is the type-s cats. Using a J-Pipe should free things up even more.

humidty or not, those two pipes should have added close to 8 or 9 more whp on his car... he should have at least stayed equal to last dyno, not LOST power.. my
i will do a before install/after install dyno on the same day to ensure the gains. I also always use the same dyno, but weather does make a difference... so when i get my pipe, be prepared for new dyno sheets

sorry for the lack of update on the J-shift downpipe, my installer ended up backing out on me this week, was too swamped and i didnt call to schedule early enough.
should have it done next week hopefully, on the other hand...sadly i went to get my car dyno'd to see the gains on the downpipe pre and after...and atm it looks like i'm only 204 HP on a Mustang Dynometer @ 6400 RMP
originally i thought redline was different on an automatic so we set the max rpm to like 5300 after like the 10th pull, finally set it to 6400 (moving up in small increments per pull)...i left the papers in the car, will scan and post later.

heh, been a bit busy past few days, dyno papers will be scanned when i get out of the lab;
heh, i guess it makes me feel better that Mustang dynos read low, plus the 10th pull heat soak thing...guess i'll have to redo it some other time.
and to keep it on topic, im currently not sure if i wanna goto the welder since he quoted me about 250 just to add y-pipe, some extra pipin and cutting/welding on stock tips and magnaflow mufflers. that doesnt even include the j-shift downpipe install
i wish i was in NY, it'd be so much damn cheaper T.T
