J-Pipe question-about to buy one

I am about to purchase a j-pipe. here is my issue, I can not find a shop that will install it for me if it removes the last cat. Is there a big difference in performance if I keep the cat? If I purchase v1 and keep the cat, the shop will install it. they dont want to touch it if they remove the cat for legal reasons. anyonen else run in to this? How can I find a shop that will install V2?

Keep looking around. Maybe find someone local that can help you do it. It really is simple. I got the RV-6 V2 which give the option of running a cat or test pipe. Might want to get that and just remove the cat when you can.

PS: I don't think removing the 3rd cat will cause you to fail inspection.

Just install it yourself. It's simple. 9 bolts to undo, wiggle it out, slap the new one on, tighten and done.

Long RV6 J-Pipe is best (3rd cat delete)

It's a pretty straightforward install. However, if you find that you need a j-pipe that retains the third cat we offer one.

Or we have our V2 j-pipe which deletes the third cat.

I spoke with Casey this morning. Which prompted this post. I plan on getting one or the other from you.

I had no problem getting my j-pipe w/o the third cat installed and had no problem passing inspection. I'm in PA, OH is even less strict, can't see why they'd say they can't do it

As others said...you'll be fine. there is no sensor in the 3rd cat (the one you're deleting).

inspection stations won't know the difference.

B. Place wooden pieces before the ramp so I will be able to clear it with my bumper.

and I'm not even dropped that low..

Is your car lowered at all? If it's riding at stock height than a XLR8 V1 for you would be fine... I have a XLR8 V1 and I'm dropped ~2 inches and I scrape all the damn time on the slightest road imperfections... Can't wait til I get my RV6 V3 installed, stock road clearance no more scrapes!
