J-pipe options
J-pipe options
I know there are lots if threads about this but i just need a quick answer, which is the best j pipe to buy? I was thinking RV6 V3? And how loud does it make the car? Compared to stock with no other mods
Changing just the jpipe does very little to nothing to the volume of your exhaust. When I had one on my 6mt Type S there were a couple rpm ranges where you can notice a slight tone change, but besides that, to the average person they would have no clue anything changed.
I have had the RV6 V3 pipe and quality and fitment were top notch.

all three are the best
take a pick and research the product via their website
exhaust wont change and if it does it will be in the high rpms but I don't think its much to even notice

I got the atlp v2 and love it. The rv6 one does look good though. But I also started a thread and got lots of people's input. They are all around the same I heard, but I went its atlp and test pipe combo.

Personally and professionally I think the XLR8 V2 J-pipe is the best j-pipe, but I may be biased.

Has anyone seen a comparison of the advantages/disadvantages of the latest J-Pipe versions vs the previous generation J-Pipes? Of course the new generation may have a little more increase because it replaces the cat as well as the J-Pipe in one piece.
For example, the previous generation gave the owner the option to go with a test pipe or high flow cat, whereas the new generation does not.
Has anyone experienced raspy exhaust issues with the latest generation J-Pipes? I ask because their were some posts indicating replacing the cat with a straight pipe resulted in unwanted raspiness sounds that I personally would not be interested in. Also, I noticed a few complaints about the loss of low end torque when the cat was replaced with a straight pipe. I actually experienced that first hand with my 4 cylinder Honda and had to put the OEM cat back on.
Thank you.

You get rasp when running fully catless, as in removing all three cats. Just deleting the third cat will not cause it. And you'll not lose any measurable torque by deleting the third cat either.
Does 3rd cat delete result in rasp or low end torque change?
What would be the purpose of going with a high flow cat over a test pipe if your state has never done emission testing. Some talk about smell and rasp. Thank you
