j-pipe / mid muffler delete question

hey folks, i just got the mid muffler delete done, im very happy with the tone. the volume is a bit too low though. i want to avoid removing the resonator from the stock system so my question is this...

will a performance jpipe help with the volume of my exhaust with just the mid muffler delete? thanks!

Slightly.
I have Richies RV6 V3 j-pipe and am about to do the MM delete.
the jpipe didnt really add that much sound, compare it to a CAI....at WOT it gets a little deeper but having the radio on at 15 you can't notice the sound. at idle, it sounds normal.

The type-s muffs and tips are way too sexy to replace with fart cans. May just go buy a straight through resonator to replace the stocker

I have the MM delete and the RV6 V3 J-Pipe and it sounds surprisingly good, the J-pipe changed the sound more than the MM delete.

LOSTSOL,

you noticed more of a sound difference with the J-pipe? if so that is exactly what i wanted to hear. im guessing a better power gain as well. i dont think the MM delete did much for performance but the tone is really sexy.

It doesn't change the performance. But pair a MM delete with the RV6 J-Pipe and it will sound like amazing.

Good thread! I was on the fence with the combo of the mm delete/RV6 V3 because I was fearful of raspy, loud sound, but everything I've been reading on the Zine states that is not the outcome. Now I just have to sneak it by the wife so I can pull the trigger on this setup....

When your driving lightly, the wife wont notice a thing! But once you get on it, the beautiful sound will turn her to your side quickly!

Sound Murderer that is a ATLP exhaust for the type s correct? I would love to get that exhaust but i dont want to throw the money away on the type s rear cover.
I dont get why they are so expensive ether... you take a 200-300 price just on Nav conversion and exhaust parts going from a TSX to TL... sorry off tipic i know! Ill try to get some sound clips asap but it may take a week or so to get the J-Pipe

I have a atlp jpipe, 3rd cat delete, and mid muffler delete.
At cold idle, or with the a/c on, the engine tone is amazing. It is quiet, but sitting at a stoplight generates this amazing, extremely bassy tone. Sounds like a subwoofer holding the lowest note possible.

At wot, i havnt heard it from outside the car, but every one of my friends say it sounds sick "like some sort of sports car" haha what do they know? LOL

but at normal highway speeds there is no drone at all, but when you get on it, everyone knows around me. lol

Its 400.00! Well for the ATLP. Go to Heeltoeauto.com they have a great price and awesome customer service. If 400.00 seems high for a part you might want to think twice about modding TL, from what I have found this may be the cheapest bolt on part for preformance/sound!

havent brought it up to the CFO since we are planning a cruise. something about blowing $400 on the car sounds like it may not go over well.
