Stock precats 16lb 15oz
V3 PCDs 8lb 11oz

Weight reduction over stock
8lb 4oz

V2 PCDs 5lb 6oz

Weight increase from V2 PCDs
3lb 5oz

Also, do the V3 still incorporate the clearance notch for the heat shield (see pic below)? I think most people leave that heat shield removed, thus making that notch unnecessary

V3 PCDs 8lb 11oz

How much theoretical HP is that?

I had them offset the casting slightly and eliminate the notch there should be no issue running the heat shield. No more phone calls from angry customers wondering why their pipe is dented.

They basically remove the cats, so it increases the emissions. They are definitely not smog legal.

how long will you keep the $345 price on these richie? i want to see the power the hfc option gives us compared to the pcd. i am only concered about the rasp because i just recieved ur j-pipe so if i can reduce the rasp without sacrificing TOO much power i may be interested in the hfc option, but if it does sacrifice power too much i will suck it up and go for the pcd but i dont want to miss out on the $345 price.

Given 220 WHP and 3580 Lbs
Stock precats 16lb 15oz
V3 PCDs 8lb 11oz = 8.25 lbs less than oem = 0.508 HP Increase
V2 PCDs 5lb 6oz = 11.56 lbs less than oem = 0.713 HP Increase

Going from a V2 to a V3, you will loss 0.205 HP based on the weight penalty.

Relax folks, this is just a joke between me and Richie. But, it is true.

Too funny

Wow. Looks GREAT. I always hated that dent. Glad to see it gone.

Another feature of the thick-walled casting is that a person can easily drill and tap it to install a EGT gauge. For mine with the V2, I had to get it welded.

so Richie quick question with this V3 PCD. Since these are out does that mean my V2 pcd will crack or you just made these just to beef it up even more. Don't want to update if there is no power difference and the V2 are working just fine for me........

Either way though great product update those V3 look good!! As always amazing stuff Richie

I have a ? too Richie. What are those acronyms in your first post? CAD? And the other one? How do those 2 make these V3 flow better than the V2?

I had these made since they are stronger and easier to manufacture. There is just 4 welds now instead of 6+ and no more weird bends.

CMM Coordinate-measuring machine The stock precats were scanned for exact measurements. The transition from flange to pipe is much smoother now, almost like a funnel. Before we had to abruptly stretch the tube in order to fit the head flange.

Hey Richie, can you PM me the price of the V3 PCD-HFC and V3 J-pipe price + shipping to 77450?

I don't like deposits because I end up using the money on something else. So if its OK with you, I'd like to pre-pay the whole thing now!

Cats look sick!!! Should flow 80-90% of what the PCD's flow. I wouldn't even mind having them unfinished like this; don't need shiny cats.

Not sure about the power difference but the price will be around $220 more for the high flow cores.

Lost wax casting, the surface is quite smooth.

The piping was delivered this week, 20' sections are a pain to handle. Stainless 304 in 14 gauge. Exhaust are typically made with 18 or 16 gauge. (smaller gauge = bigger)

I don't own any RV6 products yet, but am waiting patiently to purchase the HFC's and at this time I would like to nominate Richie as the most innovative R&D guy/vendor of TL performance products for 2010. Hell, make that every year.

wow...look at those! look beefy. i can attest to the durability of the V2's. The V1's were great, but with the amount of abuse i took them through, it's no wonder why they cracked (albeit, only the rears). The V2 replacements that Richie sent me went through the exact same (well, maybe a little worse) abuse + frequent hard launches (60A Innovative Motor Mounts <- didn't take the abuse by the way, as they FLEXED and were replaced) and survived without any sort of breakage. PHENOMENAL PRODUCT and EVEN BETTER (PROBABLY SOME OF THE BEST) CUSTOMER SERVICE, I'VE EVER, EVER, EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF EXPERIENCING, in my LIFE.

Hope all's well RICHIE! Thanks again man!!!

The casting are finished just waiting for the machine shop to mill down the mating surfaces and tap the holes. I am hoping this goes quickly the machine shop could only dedicate one CNC machine to this project. Right now we are looking at a early Feb delivery.

I will be posting up a PCD/HFPC feeler tonight for the 4Gs. We need 20 people to make it happen. The 4G jpipe prototype is done, we pushed for the longest runner length again.

I am going to try and find a local TL to dyno for me. My trans is out in my TL, I am waiting on a few companies to get back to me on upgraded clutch packs on the autos.

This option would also help keep that power robbing heat from the exhaust low and underhood temps low as well. Sounds good!
