Interior Noise

All,

I'm definitely a newbie to Acura mods, but I recently upgraded my exhaust to XLR8's full setup on my 07 TL Type S. Being I've driven this car for 5 years, I grown accustomed to the interior's "quiet". I would love suggestions on how to keep the exhaust sound out of the cabin and inside the ears of those I pass.

I say get used to it or re-install the stock exhaust.

this is why we can't have better mods.

Here. Get some 75A polyurethane motor mounts. That'll fix all the interior noise.

Thanks Abyss! I was in search of quality suggestions. I was considering Dynamat or an alternative in the trunk and backseat areas. Were the motor mounts difficult to get installed?

Abyss should have been using red text in his response. That was not intended to be a solution in the way you think. That modification will make other engine sounds louder such that you would no longer be bothered by the exhaust. and then you would have the vibrations too.

which XLR8 you've got?

if you got resonated version, replace the existing resonator with a bigger resonator..

if you got non-resonated version, you may need to hack your exhaust and install a resonator..

Magnaflow has few variety to choose from..preferrably #10436

I went with the resonated version along with the J-Pipe. I feel that a lot of the sound is coming from the trunk area. It sounds a lot louder when my windows are up and great when they're down (maybe the wind is blocking it some). So I'd have to "cut in" a resonator?
