Intake Silencer

So I took my intake silencer off and it sounded great for the first week. But now, whenever my rpms are between 2000 and 2500, the intake starts to hiss. Is there anyway to fix this without installing a CAI or putting the silencer back in? Also, could putting a new air filter do anything to stop the hissing?

Are you sure its the intake. My car (with a CAI) makes a noise from the passenger side that is not the CAI... That noise is alot more annoying.

You will get even more hissing with the CAI. If you dont like it you will have to install the silencer.
