intake silence

intake silence

so i just took off my intake silencer (sounds good by the way). but i was just wondering..what are the chances of me getting water into my intake and engine by driving over a puddle or something.

you took off your stock intake silencer correct? the silencer isn't a bypass valve. you are fine.. go puddle hunting.. no problems there..

While doing this, did you not notice how enclosed that area is and how high the intake part of the air box is off the ground? Even driving through a puddle, the water is channeled around the tire to the back of the car, not hitting the protect air box area. So, unless you drive through a small river that came up over the hood, I doubt you will get any water in the motor.
