Thumbs up Intake & Exhaust

hello everyone ! I have maintained my 07 TL and runs like a gem currently . Now im deciding to do some modding such as intake and exhaust but am unsure as to which ones to get . I am going for performance and sound . So i suggestions and links for each part intake & exhaust . My budget would be $1500-2000 . thank you

Personal opinion:

J pipe(ATLP, RV6, or XLR8)
Mufflers of choice
remove middle cat
Good to go.
I don't see spending $900+ on an exhaust just for sounds. From what I've been seeing, the best gains are from the J pipe and/or PCDs(pre-cat delete). No need for full exhaust unless you plan to do more to the car down the road. In that case, you should go with any of the brands mentioned above that I said for the J pipe.

Intake wise? CAI for sure. The engine bay stores a lot a heat. Injen is my favorite brand. Seen a lot of gains from all their products. AEM V2 from HeelToe is actually made specifically for the 3rd gen TL.

Correct me if I'm wrong folks.

Is that why my IAT is over 100 degrees when the outside temperature is less than 60?

Hmmm, unlikely. Why? If you're using the factory intake, it already is a CAI.

Yeah, everything's stock in my car. The ODB2 readings for the IAT is around 100 degrees (once the car's warmed up) even when the ambient air temperature is half that. It makes me wonder if the IAT sensor is accurate, although at cold startup it's indicating close to the outside temperature. Could there be a leak somewhere?

A 100F IAT reading isn't that outrageous if the engine is at operating temp.

If there was a leak, there would more than likely be a CEL indicating it.
