Intake diameter

the type-s and base TL have the same throttle body.
I believe its like 63mm wide.
we've found that 4 inch intakes all the way through, feeds enough air for bored throttle bodies.
Since you arent boring the throttle body, you'll be fine if you make a 4inch diameter CAI all the way through

To be honest even a custom 4" won't show much gains over a regular aftermarket intake unless you have a bigger TB and IM. I used to have an aem v2 and now I have a custom 4" but I can't say I notice any power differences

Thank you both. 2.5 inches seems a bit small to me, I measured it and it seemed to be a bit larger than 2.5 in, maybe about 2.75. I'm just looking for a sanity check. Justnspace is 2.5 inches the outside diameter?
I won't be boring the TB or anything. I'm just looking for a simple quick fix for my cracked stock intake tubing and figured I would throw a tube and k&n filter on and call it a day.
Can someone please verify this diameter or post a source link, maybe from a TL manual or something? Thanks guys.
