installed atlp jpipe
so i got around to installing the atlp jpipe today. took me 20 minutes. had the car on the lift, started it, let it run for a little to fully warm the pipes, then i listened for a leak, didnt hear anything. took the car for a drive and its REALLY loud, im convinced i didnt tighten a bolt fully.
or is the atlp really that much louder?
also, i re-used the gaskets i got from richie 1800 miles ago, they were not discolored at all

did you torque the bolts to the specified 40lbs or was it 36
you do have the greddy so what do you expect lol
as for reusing gaskets... rvt is better than any gasket
edit: rv6 to atlp probably all the chitchat people make
point is if you are dropped atlp just isn't safe in NY

im convinced ATLP flow better, we will see when i dyno this weekend, or maybe tomorrow
the atlp BARELY hangs below the frame.
i didnt torque the bolts, i just used an air wrench till it wouldnt go anymore LOL...with another wrench ontop so it didnt just spin around
lol yeah i know, i like the greddy, it sounds the same till i hit vtec then its a beast and alot louder. and the rasp i had at 2700-2900rpms is gone
and rvt is? LOL

How much louder is the jpipe supposed to be from stage 3? I'm going stage 3 this week and wanted to add the jpipe soon, but concerned about making too much noise.

All this talk of RVT is killing me!! It is called RTV and it stands for room temperature vulcanizing. Basically means it sets up at room temperature. Also as was stated above Ultra Copper by Permatex is good because it handles high heat although there are different colors for different applications...

Greco - You still planning on doing a dyno run to see if there's a difference from the two j-pipes? Would be interesting to see some actual numbers comparing the two, assuming your other mods are still the same from your last dyno pulls.

Nice, looking forward to seeing the results. I wonder how much of a difference it would make not having put some miles on the car after your intial mods vs. now. Also looking forward to seeing some new vids of your car, assuming you make some, since I can't imagine it being louder than the last set of vids
