installation cost help

installation cost help

i got and aspec suspension, type-s fsb, energy bushings, progressive rsb, comptech ss, and steel braided clutch line. i want to get these installed but dont know if this is a fair price. the shop quoted me for installation

$240 for aspec
$208 type-s fsb
$80 progressive rsb
$120 comptech ss
$120 remove and replace clutch line
$80 alignment

total install = $848
is this too much???

actually thats really not to bad. you could do most of those installs yourself though and save a lot

where are you located?

If you are near jersey i can send you to the shop where i go and drastically cut down those install prices

You could spend 10% of that to buy some tools and do it all yourself. It's all been done a thousand times before and you'll thank yourself in the end for not doubling or tripling the cost of every mod..... Just think what you could then buy with that extra 800 bucks!

The RSB should be a lot cheaper.

First, it only takes about 30 minutes and it looks like they're charging you an hour. Second, they'll have the suspension 1/2 apart for the A-Spec coilovers. That'll save a little time and make manuevering the RSB in and out easier.

yeah cant help you when ur thousands of miles away lol

but tell them they are ripping you off. As noted in the last post the suspensions going to be taken apart so max you should pay for the rsb install is 30-40. The car will be on the lift so rsb will take them 15 mins tops if they know what theyre doing. 240 for suspension is avg not cheap nor expensive. 150 for suspension install is good.
