Install just cone filter on oem intake

I am wondering if anyone has done this, if it is worth it, and if it's easy. Just simply adding a k&n cone on the end of the oem intake tube...and how easy it is...let me know please!

I doubt it's hard but why? You will just get a bunch of hot air and inferior filtration. You would be paying money for worse performance.

short ram intakes are good I have had them on other cars, I live in canada so install cold air intake is a no no with snow and slush on an all around weather car....they do not reduce power at all...if you think a bout it the oem intake is a short ram...

This is very false, other cars are different than the TL and the TL's intake is most certainly not a short ram intake it is a normal airbox intake. I was exaggerating when i said it felt like i lost 50hp but it was surprisingly noticeable, the way this engine bay and engine itself is designed, it does not respond well to a short ram intake like other cars like a Civic or Integra might.

OEM intake is more like a CAI, than a SRI. the filter is not exposed at all. hence the air BOX. its completely sealed off and the entire tubing is all connected.
