^^^

actually never thought about it.....seems like a pretty cheap alternative and you might get quite a bit of stiffness and pretty low on the vibrations !!!

i think someone should try this before going Innovative !!!

This has taken a while, but like the turbo kit, would rather get it right and wait instead of rushing it and having problems.

Yep... That would be teeth rattling, and would introduce a new set of problems. The harsh vibes would cause other things to fail much sooner.

The ingalls stiffy is going to add more vibes too. Anything you do to reduce engine rock and vibration adds to cabin vibes. Remeber that.

Thirdly, has ANYONE else had issues with thier mounts other than Tripnbeats? I'm baffled by the numbers of these on the market, an Tripnbeats has been through numerous sets, and noone else has had a single issue...?

What's HQTL working on?

i personally think the stiffy wont do a damn thing. y would u need a dampener between the tranny n motor when the tranny is solidly against the motor??? i replaced the one thats there stock with a stock one and the one that was there had a return rate just as nice as the new one. the billet mounts made by IM arent avaiable for these cars they swear up n down the tapered bushings work better n take more abuse than the solid rubber ones

kennedy..... i have a bad tranny n clutch im about 99% sure thats a huge factor in the equation as to why they are breaking....at the moment the mounts look fine, come tomorrow im dropping the frame so the motor tranny n rack is coming out and ill be able to determine whats actually F*ked up 100%

^^^ dude u have gone thro so many of the mounts....u can actually change them in record time by now LOL

i feel the pain of changing it again and again.....i checked my mounts (didnt take them out) but just a spot check kinda thing......and looked like they are fine but in progress of making a nice krispy kreme (a donut shop, for the ignorants).....when that happens am going to call innovative and get mine switched out !!!

I replaced my mount bushings today:

Pics are from my BB. The red bushings (60A) were totally worn. These are pics of the rear mount bushings. I was getting clunking and wheel hop regularly during shifts. The front mount was bad, but wasn't as bad as the rear, and the side mount was almost 100%. So, I replaced them with the gray (85A) bushings.

Hopefully they last this time. (At least that's what Tim from Innovative assured me of).

I'm pleasantly surprised that the vibration level isn't any higher than when I first installed the 60A mounts.

To get IM to change out your mounts, you have to send in the defective bushings, and they should send you out replacements, but don't quote me on that. I got them because I live by them and went directly to them to get them changed out.

Give them a call and give it a try.

I went right to 85a so I hope I avoid the donuts! I could only start the car and definitely can tell there are vibrations, but it wasn't teeth rattling.

I'm sure I'll be chasing rattles now.

so how does it work....do they send you new bushing and you send them the old back....or do you send the old ones and they give you new ones.....

i would hate so much downtime....

what i would do is, buy the 75a or 85a, then you will get refunded when you send back your doughed out 60a.

Any concerns with running different bushings for the mounts?

I only ask because I have the xlr8 75a mounts on the car now but the bracket for the front mount broke. I just replaced the front only with a Innovative 60a mount. Im going to order a 75a or 85a. Can I use 75a for the side and rear and 85a for the front?
