injen cai
I've been looking for a short ram air for a 07 tls. I went to Injen site and I can't find anything beyond the 03 tls. Does anyone else have any info or somewhere else I can check? Or is there a better cai (short style) that can be used? I'm looking for a simple bolt on and don't want to mod the stock one incase I need to put it back one day.

I asked a similar question in this same forum... The only short ram intake I came up with was the Weapon R short ram, everything else seems to be CAI. As for the performance of this and if its worth it.. still waiting on the answer. But I would assume, anything is better then stock.

You are correct. I thought about that after I posted. I didn't delete it because I was thinking someone said it could be used as a short or full style. I wasn't sure so I thought someone would tell me if this was the case.

I think what you are looking for is the K&N unit. It is convertable to both styles as I recall.

CAI is best IMO. But there are good reasons why some people run short ram as well. The basic rule of thumb to me is...if you plan on running through deep water that may come up to the bottom of your front bumper - I would go short ram. That only really happens in MAJORLY high rain areas or areas prone to flooding. Fact is...I have driven my car in driving rain and never had an issue. Its mainly if you were to drive through a very deep puddle....you would want to avoid it....or if its boarderline deep....proceed with much caution - ie...very very slowly. Fact is...I just wouldnt do it at all without looking first. Its very hard to explain here in writing what I am talking about - but basic rule of thumb - if you drive through water that is as deep as your front bumper or front lip and its going to hit that in ANY way....stay out of it. And if its just a very deep puddle....try to steer around it or proceed slowly - one of those type of things if you catch my drift.
