Ingalls Engine Torque Damper

Have you guys heard of an aftermarket engine torque damper? Ingalls makes one and it's supposed to keep the engine from moving too much under hard acceleration. Do you guys think this mod does anything?

I have one but not the one from Ingall. You can feel a very slight engine vibration in the car but not too much. I think the innovative motor mount would probably be a better investment.

the design is not that good IMO. it only helps brace one side of the engine. the ones i have sit in the middle towards the back, exactly where the stock damper for the 6spd TL's sit. it absorbs more of the engine movement that way. custom steel bracket with a nrg damper.

I have a damper on the CLS-6. It greatly reduces wheel hop, but does also introduce some noise into the passenger compartment... a worthwhile trade off in my view. I doubt that you would need this if you had an auto. And I don't really think that bracing at one point is necessarily a problem... you are basically trying to reduce excessive movement in the engine from accelleration torque... anchoring at one point accomplishes this.
