What is better the cross drilled brembo rotors or slotted and why? i like the cross drilled because i feel it has better cooling but i can be wrong.....anyone?

Slotted... are a balance between blanks and cross drilled. A perfect choice for pads deglazing while maintaining the surface area. More surface area..better braking. But also more heat.
The cross drilled do look cooler, reduces the weight, but it chews up the pads much faster. I've also seen plenty of broken cross drilled rotors in high performance cars, but on a track.
It's surface area vs ultimate cooling. Your choice. I've ran Rotora slotted on my last TL with EBC, the braking was phenomenal.

I'd run with slotted rotors, cross drilled will eat through your pads faster, cause your brakes to have very rapid temperature changes, and as well they cause weak points which can lead to cracking of the rotor.

If I recall correctly, cross drilling was mainly to counter the effects of off-gassing by the pads. Most of what I've read on this subject says that modern day pads don't off gas anywhere near like the pads of yesteryear.

^^^ Cross Drilled is good for race\track applications, high end sports cars are totally designed to fit into that realm.
Cross drilled
-Fast heat dissipation, great for track purpose, may not be ideal for certain DD conditions. Cooling too fast could cause problems.
-Allows out gas for pads.
-More prone to warping and less longevity depending on driving style.
-Can chew through pads faster.
-Certain conditions/rotor designs could lead to weak spots.
-Improved wet braking.
Slotted
-Allows out gas for pads
-Can chew through pads faster.
-More even heat dispersion through material.
-Helps wipe away glazing.
-Good balance between sporty driving style and durability.
Blanks
-Even heat dispersion
-Great longevity for pads and rotors
That being said. I still like cross drilled better. The sporty look really gets me. Generally I maintain my car well so I don't mind replacing if needed. Still rolling on OE rotors on my '05 3G.
I do really like those 2 piece slotted rotors by Rotora, but man they are pricey.

Slotted. Reduced surface area on the Cross-drilled aren't worth the cooling trade off for our rotor size, IMHO.
If we were running 14" rotors or something, maybe it'd be a different story.
