I got re-dynoed

So, I decided to get re-dynoed since I changed out the intake from the comptech one to a homemade CAI and also the Crank pulley.

I did these runs WITHOUT methanol because i have a leak on one of the hoses, I ordered a new hose so that should take care of it.

My previous dyno was back in 2006 with:

CT S/C
CT intake
CT exhaust
Eshift Pro-Cats

and I got 289.3 whp and 237.1 wtrq

This time I had:

CT S/C
Custom intake
CT exhaust
Hyper Voltage and ground
Eshift Pro-Cats
UR Crank Pulley

and I got 300.2 whp and 237.1 wtrq on a 2005 5AT TL

This SAE corrected and on a DynoJet...funny how I got the same amount of trq

Damn, that's sick; 300 whp in a TL. I can only imagine that set up on a 6mt car. Have you tried running the quarter with some drag radials?

No 1/4 mile times yet, maybe I'll do one this summer. I'm having a problem launching and traction though. i spin the wheels constantly in 1st. maybe drag radials will fix that?

I know! Hondata, I REALLY need your reflash! if not soon, then I may have to look at other alternatives like Greddy Emanage, but no one is willing or recommending it around me. If I were to go Greddy Emanage, I'd probably consider driving it down to Cali to have it tuned by Church Auto.

I would be very interested to see a run on methanol. Should make a huge difference.

Yea, I was hoping too, but when I got to the dyno place, I noticed my methanol tank was almost low and I had filled it up right before I left. then we got it on the dyno and we noticed Methanol everywhere... damn leak

Oh well, I ordered new hoses and connectors. Snow performance said they recommends replacing those once every year or year and a half.

nice! 300whp on a 5AT !!

You should look into a J-Pipe replacement (ATLP ftw)

the 237tq kind of suprised me... my 08 TL-S 5AT put down 238tq, but only 261whp

Look how much power I lost in the low end (top end was the same) on back to back run from heat soak.

The red line is the same red line that is show up top. The blue line this time was my first pull today. The blue line on the first pic was from 2006.

The Sun Hyper Voltage System is this... mines black though

"The H.V.S. is designed to stabilize voltage in your vehicle for maximum battery efficiency, allowing its full potential to be released."

When I installed it i felt better throttle response, car started faster, and a little more oomph on the butt dyno.

MugenR, where did you install the methanol nozzle?

Also, did you install the HVS kit before or after you put on your supercharger?

the Methanol nozzle was installed after the blower on the supercharger elbow that connects to the intake manifold.

It's been awhile, but according to my Modification Log sheet I keep, yes... I'm a dork. the HVS kit was installed after the supercharger.

id love to drive a supercharged TL just once, to see the crazy amounts of torque steer... from my 227whp TL, to my 261whp TL-S, the difference in torque steer is EXTREMELY noticeable

Hah, dude I drove actros wdp insanity, when he said I could drive I was jaw dropped, and in all actuality it pulled hard forward not that much side to side torque steer (I guess its cuz there wasn't much torque added as opposed to the type s), but it sure is fun going 40 to 60 in half a second, not to mention how addictive the whine is

Well, It's hard to tell from those numbers because it wasn't a direct before and after with just the UR crank pulley. I'd say from my numbers it's any where from 5-7hp. But man, the revs move so much quicker and the car just performs better. It's probably one of the better mods out there.

I don't notice that much torque steer. If I put on wider tires I do notice a little when gunning it after a turn, but not much.

Yea. the guys at the dyno were shocked that I was running at 10 A/F.. lol... They were tuning an accord 4cyl with turbo right before my dyno run and it was running pig rich too and it got around 250 whp, but after tuning the A/F, it got up to 300.
That shop doesn't like tuning Greddy Emanage though, They've had problems with it and don't like to hassle with the jumpers.
I'm tempted to drive down to cali this summer for a church tune

just a tune of the a/f will give you around 10-15whp more for sure.

you will find ALOT of dyno shops wont deal with the emanage. ive had one dyno shop tell me they will do it, only if i bring my own laptop.

Hbp and custom j(a) pipe helped the engine produce 100hp per liter to the wheels, for the most part! Before the higher boost pulley the car was consistently at about 300 and 250 respectively.

I wish I could post those dyno sheets for comparison but Mike never gave me them, something was wrong with a printer or whatever, oh well.

I bet, the h&r coilovers felt perfect, almost couldn't tell it was even a coilover setup

Really liked how it just pulled forward with such smoothness, guess the chilled evening when I drove it helped

Real curious to see what your next car will be

So I changed out my crappy build of an intake and changed it out to something MUCH MUCH better. Before in second gear, I'd never be able to read more than 3psi of boost. Now it's reading a constant 3.5psi and spikes up to 4-4.5psi

I also go the methanol fixed. changed out all hoses and plugs.

Here is a pic of my old intake setup, I'll get another picture up on my new intake setup tonight.

That accordion looking tube was creating so much turbulence. I did a quick test with compressed air, sent it through my old intake with the accordion tube and then through my new intake... the old intake you can tell the exiting air not as cold as the new one and also the air is not as strong.

Here is the NEW and improved custom intake for my Supercharger. 04accordcpe's design was my inspiration

And here is the entire engine bay.

I got a cheap little 98-02 4cyl accord ebay intake. this intake had all the right bends i needed (I still had to cut it up). and I got the blue silicone hose on ebay as well. search for "3" inch Silicone Hose Coupler 90 Degree Elbow"

Unfortunately I got hit with some unexpected bills this month, so the J-pipe will have to wait till the second batch I hope to god there is a second batch.
