Hi I'm about to buy a CAI from someone and was wondering how I would know if it's a V1 or V2. I called AEM and they said they don't make a V2 for the TL. As far as I know we need to use the 2004+ Accord AEM V2? Is this correct.

Thanks

The difference between the two is that the V1 has one single pipe from the TB all the way down to the filter element, and the V2 consists of 2 pipes connected by a bypass.

Correct. The V2 is not made for the TL, we use the one from the V6 Accord.

You can tell the difference by

1) The V2 is only offered in a Grey metallic finish
2) The lower end of the pipe is much larger than the upper part on the V2, the V1 pipe is all one size.

a cai looks like one piping like this

a v2 is one piping but it seems like theres a a cover on the piping basically it is raised like this

these pictures arent from the tl intake though. but its an example to show you the concept.
