Here's a quick update I currently pulled out the Comptech S/C and will be going to develop a different S/C setup in form of ROTREX Everything will be Custom including Front mount intercooler,S/C oil cooler, and blow off valve and this setup will hopefully net me 400WHP But the best thing to add is I will be under the guidance of Mr Oscar Jackson from Jackson racing himself I had the pleasure to sit down with him thanks to Doug from Hondata and talked shop for a good 2-3 hours and his knowledge of supercharging just blows my mind! and might I will add he is very humble and wiling to help any which way he can. I will be documenting the whole build and if it goes well might even make a couple extra kits for some eager AZINERS

Also since my car is stock but with I/J-Pipe/Exhaust I will get it re-tuned at Church's so that I can post what type of gains I get and hopefully it can answer alot of questions you guys might have!

Check out there latest S/C kit for the CR-Z pretty awesome its carb legal and Passes Epa to be still considered a hybrid!
http://jacksonracing.com/temple-of-v...s-the-jr-cr-z/
interesting but what is the limitation of the comptech supercharger at this point? Basically I want to know the reason behind re-inventing the wheel. Are there limitations with the Comptech blower? Can it only reliably run X amount of boost that's not enough to generate higher numbers?

The Rotrex kits have intercoolers, that in itself is a much bigger step forward than the Comptech...so to answer your question, heat is one of the main limiting factors in the Comptech...

And just for a quick comparison, the CT supercharger for the Civic Si maxes out at about 280 whp with supporting mods, while the new Kraftwerks Rotrex puts out 380 whp with all mods...

ahhh interesting, yeah the simple fact that there is no intercooler for CT makes a huge difference. Did not know that.

Well then hopefully this all works out and we end up with an improved supercharger application.

Might as well call Full Race, SRT, or JoTech to build us a turbo.

Jotech in Florida or Texas? You're in good hands if its Florida - they already have acurazine member representation internally

Hondata has been working on the issue for us 04+ guys. I'm sure the 3.0 Accords and the first generation TL's will be here later after they figure out the 04+ with DBW. Be patient guys.

I wonder how much estimated labor cost that would end up being to pay someone else to do that

intense build that I am looking forward to hearing about the results of. I'm not sure if anyone else will run nitrous, as I said I think it'll make your car incredibly unique, but man that's crazy with MS3, FP, and stock ECU lolol

looks like we're gonna have to build the tuning knowledge for this one from the ground up.

Looking at the latest version of Flashpro manager and the only TL base maps they have are for stock, CT supercharger (07-08 base), and a couple different tunes for if you have larger injectors like the RDX 410cc

No base maps exist for intake/exhaust, or other combinations.

If all you have is j-pipe and a catback (based on your signature), you might actually do ok with the '08 6mt base tune.

that being said, if I were you and still on the fence then I would still hold off unless you wanted to spend the money to have it tuned on the dyno / see some results from others who take the plunge.

wtf is this?! you don't ask when you have time, you MAKE time, son get on it!

one thing I noticed is there are no base maps at all for 07 type-s MT, which is odd to me because the 07 and 08 type-s share a different ECU, so when I only saw a base mapping for 08 type-s 6mt I scratched my head a bit.

no matter as I will be taking off work tomorrow to start dyno tuning

This will be the place that most of you will be going for tuning. Please learn from them, they are probably the best I've seen and know. Ask for Vit.
