HFPC vs JnR ECU??
HFPC vs JnR ECU??
Which of these two would give me more gains on my 5AT TL-s? High flow precats or the new JnR ECU? Its kinda hard to find good info in the ECU thread because its so long.
Keep in mind I have an AUTO type s with a DC CAI, Rv6 V3 Jpipe, and ATLP V2 catback.

You want to install all of your mods before you get a final tune with an ecu (i.e. JnR ecu)...get the HFPCs and save for the ecu. If you don't care about spending money on multiple tuning sessions ($XXX) as you upgrade, spring for the ecu.
^This. But to also, there's a big difference in price between the two. If you just care about which one will give you the most gain now, then go with the ecu as you can have it tuned to your mods. From what I've read it's good for around 20hp on an NA Motor. But like ppypants said, if you change your mods you'll most likely have to fine tune the ecu again.
The ECU comes "pretuned." What this means is, you give Rodney your mod list and the ECU comes tuned for those mods. It's not going to be 100%, but it will be as good as you will get without actually dyno tuning. If you add the PCDs later, I'm sure you could email him or anyone else with the ECU and your mods, and they would be happy to email you their file.
The ECU will give you greater gains, but the combo of PCDs + ECU will give extreme gains. PCDs are much cheaper, so the choice is yours.
