Hey guys, another question about performance

Hey guys I have a base model 06 but I wanted to get more horsepower out of my engine I read a lot on people PnPing their mani's but I was curious if putting on a PnPed type-s manifold would be possible and if it would make a difference.

so if you guys can point me in the right direction and give me some advice and info that would be awesome!

thanks
Kevin

You should've posted this in the Performance & Parts Modification section of the forums.

Anyways, best thing is to search. I'm not that informative on PnP'ing, but I'm sure there has been several threads regarding this.

yeah I've already searched and read that thread still doesn't say anything about if the type-s IM is applicable with the 06 engine.

plus i posted it here cause i figured people would run across it better.

it is applicable, the type-s IM is same size on the outside, bolts and all, but allows slightly more air that stock.. not enough air that you should go out and buy one and replace stock.. .. more value for your $ to PnP the IM.. doesnt matter if you PnP a Type-S or base it will eb abuot the same %.. I forgot where I read it but Type-S gets most of their hp from a slightly larger exhuast and less restrictions in their pre-cats.. something like 200 Cell in their pre-cate versus 600 cell in stock.. again read this awhile ago but if you dig the infromation on what makes a type-s faster there are more than a few posts
