Has anyone used Nitrous in the Third Gen TL?

Was just wondering if anyone has tried a nitrous system in their TL... I am considering installing a Zex Dry kit for occasional use (its a lease )... So I really don't care about the car after 48k... Any help would be great...

I wouldn't try 120 shot, that's way too much.... like RedSoxGuy says more like 50-75.

You guys are nuts! This engine wasn't designed for 120, 75, or even 50 extra HP without serious problems. Yeah, it might last a few years, but unless you're planning to dump the car in 2 years, the engine isn't going to last long. Also, I hope you've got a 6MT, because the automatic tranny will definately go byebye. The TL isn't a race car guys, it's a luxury sedan. Go ahead..flame me!! I like my car and want it to last. If I wanted to race, I'd buy a Corvette.

Some of the 2G guys put down 300+ fwhp and their trannies seem ok.

I hope your dealer doesn't find out about the kit (they'll probably make a note of it when you take it in for service)...otherwise you're looking at a hefty penalty.

I think Pierce said he'll be using the nitrous at the drag strip... I don't think it's stupid or crazy. Personally, I just want to see the trap speed

Yah no shit man... But as I said, I really could care less about the car as it is a lease... And I said I would only use it occasionally (like maybe once or twice a week)... With that usage it will be fine... So many people hear the word nitrous and automatically think its gonna blow up your engine... In small quantities and when used correctly it is very safe and effective for your engine... My only concern is with the TL's high compression engine, this is why I was asking if anyone else has used nos, if not looks like i'll be the first as its being installed tomorrow...

Obviously if i was gonna bring it to the dealer I would remove the bottle and any obvious parts in the engine compartment.. The kits are very easy to uninstall...
