Has anyone use Posi-quiet brake pads???

I'm thinking of purchasing posi quiet brake pads for my 07 TL Type S which come with Brembo calipers and would like to know if anyone here has used them before? Also are they good quality? or your thoughts about it. Please let me know what you think. Thank you.

Centric Posi Quiet? I had them on all four corners of my last car...the ceramics. They were excellent, confident bite, minimal dust, zero noise. The best thing is the low price tag. I have them on my wife's car as well and I'm very happy with their performance.

We use them all the time when we do brakes at our shop! Never have any issues with noise nor do we have any comebacks!! Low dust and great price!

OMG, from RockAuto they were like $40 bucks shipped to my door F&R.

Pretty cheap for a nice quality product IMO.

used them before and loved them- super quiet, dont chew up rotors and very low dust pad. I always order them from Dave at zeckhausen

slammed a set on the mdx with new rotors. It bites super hard but there is tons of dust? I ono I need to actually wash the car first and see if the dust is still there.

Centric makes great stuff. Fit has always been excelent for me. Their premium rotors are at least as good as Brembo's and they even come with a black e-coating that should last a long time.

As for the Posi-Quiet pads, they actually sell three different compounds to suit different needs. All are great I'm sure. You can pick & choose the compound that bests suits your needs from these charts:

Centric makes a lot more compounds than just these posi-quiet line too. Stoptechs are great street performance pads as well: http://www.centricparts.com/index.ph...149&Itemid=224

do any of you know which ones are recommended for the type s between either ceramic or semi-metallic? i don't track just the occasional speed burst and was curious...both seem to have great results and just curious which one might be preferred for the type s

Veterans please correct me if I'm wrong but for the occasional speed burst, as I am myself, Ceramics offer a better balance between wear and stopping power.

Just look at the graphs above. Ceramic has HIGHER friction, but the fade resistance is the same. You also get more wear with ceramic. So either one will be fine. You may have to push the pedal a little harder with metallic though, but they last longer.

BTW: Personally I would say NEITHER is "recommended" for Brembo calipers. From a performance stand point, you would want either the Centric OE compound or the Stoptech compound. Everything else is a compromise:

thanks for the info...i've always been confused/in the dark about people saying they are not getting brembo pads for the front. i'll look into the centric and stoptech products, i've definitely heard those a lot but was just unsure of the actual options for the type s bremobos...but this narrows it some. i just hate the dust from the OEM pads!

going to replace my front pads for the first time in 50,000 miles and just want to make sure i have an idea of what i need to get

I would expect the OE formula to be about the same as Brembo. It sure sounds like it from the graph (super-high bite with tons of dust). Stoptech would be the next best thing. I have them on the front of my Civic and they are very nice. Haven't put many miles on them yet though.
