Has anyone removed mufflers on Comptech Exhaust?

I have an 05 TL with a Comptech Catback. I was wondering if anyone has ever removed the mufflers on their catback and what it sounded like. I have never really been happy with how quiet the exhaust is and I was just interested in what the car might sound like without the mufflers.

^ prob would sound wack.... if you want it louder prob the best thing to do is get another exhaust or maybe remove the mid muffler on the comptech exhaust

if anything there are plenty of ppl that would buy the exhaust off of you then you could get a louder exhaust

ps. i ll buy the comptech off of you

I actually removed this and it sounded MUCH better (I assume you're talking about the midmuffler). I didn't think the comptech was loud enough either and removing it gave it a nice deep growl

Sounds like what you are describing is straight pipes that are still eviro safe...lol. Will be loud and sound like doo doo most likely.

Unless like USSI states...you are just talking about the mid muff/resonator part...

i'd suggest you run unclamp the mufflers, go to a muffler shop and have them fab up some straight pipes from there and back

do not consider cutting up a perfectly operating and desible abidding cb

Yes, this is what I was going to consider doing. I was going to unclamp the rear mufflers and see what it sounded like. If it sounded good I was going to go to a muffler shop and see if they could make some straight pipes from there back. Does anyone know how much that would cost, and could pretty much any muffler shop be capable of doing this?

i THINK BY REMOVING THE MI MUF and replacing with an aero will make it throtier, if you wanna go the whole nine yards, add the rv6 full package, pre cat deletes, jipe;test pipe and it will sound sweet. This is the route i took and from evidence by racingharts dyno and nos videos it sounds mean as hell minus the drone.
