Deploys over the top.
Pod doesn't reach high enough to cover the square cap on the pillar where airbag would shoot out of.... Please let's not talk about airbags..I don't wanna know !!!! Lol

^ haha.. I know what you mean, but a necessary question nonetheless. Is the pod 'made'/molded for the pillar of our cars... or did you have to modify it in some way.

No, don't pillar mount your gauges. Opel is saying he knows he is eating those gauges if the air bag deploys. The reason behind the colum mount is two fold, one it is easy to replace that part when you sell the car, and two no glowing gauges to attract attention.

i understand...well, the pod im using is universal, it just wraps around the pillar....its from a local auto store, i think its made by APC $30 when i needed it right away, i got it right away...i have no patience so online ordering and waiting for it till it gets here sometimes is not an option for me ,,,,tucked onto the dash on the bottom holds it in place, and fastened towards the top of it somehow.. (i have it on screws lol shhhhhh no i didnt puncture anything behind the pillar ) you could use some other way, and im sure ud figure out what to use...anything that sticks!!!!

If some of you are going to do data logging i would suggest investing in one of the AFR data logging products from http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/. I personally have used one of there older versions and it was awesome. I would definitely buy it again if i decide to go turbo.
