Anyone using a standard fiber bra on your TL with positive or negative experiences?

I am about to head out on a 1,500+ mile trip in my ‘04 TL so I purchased a full bra from the dealer. I did not go with a clear bra as I prefer nothing except for rare occasions when I will travel a significant distance. Putting it on is a pain and securing and fitting the thing in some sections seems to cause stress, particularly on the headlights and wheel wells.

Anyway, I'm heading out next week with the thing and hope it does not cause damage when I'm trying to prevent it in the first place.

I’d like your comments on the fiber bra if you have experience with it. Thanks.

 

I'm not using one because I opted for PPF. However, the front nose mask will do just fine and will protect the front of your vehicle the same way PPF does. The main thing is not to get it wet, if it does, remove it and dry it out before reinstalling it. The initial fit will be tight and it will eventually conform to the shape of the vehicle over a short period of time. Damage (minor scratches) could occur from the constant removal and reinstallation and also if debris gets trapped under it.

i have a full nose bra that i use on long trips. i dont leave it on around town but if im driving for more than an hour on the freeway i pop it on the car. dont really have any complaints about it, though it is not used all the time.
