Fujita intake coming in this week. Help with installation?

I just ordered the Fujita CAI off ebay for $160. Problem is, I really have no idea how to install it.

Anyone in the LA area wanna help me spend a few hours installing the intake?

If you want, I can pay you or buy you lunch, whichever is cool with you.

Don't mean to be rude here, but please help me out ONLY if you've done this before and would know what you're doing.

PM me.

If You Follow The Instructions That It Comes With It Is Pretty Easy. I Installed My In About 2 Hours. One Thing That You Do Not Have To Do Is Remove The Front Bumper Like It Says. This Will Cut Your Time Down.

Isn't there a vehicle with similar size to the TL's intake?
Couldn't we just purchase an AEM V2 for another car [with closest size to our intake manifold] and modify it to fit--after relocating or resizing the battery?

Removing the bumper makes it much easier to do it if you like to do things correctly and not rig it. I don't know about you, but I don't cut corners when it comes to working on my TL. After all, it's not a civic!!

I found that not removing the bumper and having a friend remove some of the parts from the bottom using a creeper worked wonders... but I guess removing the bumper speeds things up... it took me 45mins to isntall it...

if you aren't a diy you'll get contacted shortly by a local aziner who will definitely do the install for you... (great thing about azine... guys always love to do work on tl's)

if you remove the bumper, the intake installation is really easy. i did it myself in about an hour and and a half total. if you search the forums on here there are DIY videos of front bumper removal as well as the airbox assemblies. i put my fujita on mine about a month ago, and it sounds great. since then, ive done my exhaust, and that just made it even better. you wont regret it

you dont have to remove the front bumper, just loosen the driver side, and take off the wheel.

you don't even have to disconnect the battery - that's how i did it., but it was also alot harder, and i can imagine how much easier it'd be if i HAD taken off the bumper or d/c'd the battery.

Please do it by yourself. You don't need to be mechanically inclined to do this mod.

Search is your best friend.

DIYs can be found in 3G TL FAQs. There are step-by-step DIY vids for bumper removal and CAI installation:

in that case, check with local members. lots of members in Southern California or a shop/dealer as JCL622 suggested.

I have been considering doing the clear on the headlights but the pic i saw of someone doing it on an Anthracite didnt look the best, maybe bad angle, what is the cost and time into it? I know this isnt the right thread for this but since you brought it up i figured i would ask

Well, I went ahead and did the install with two friends.

I gotta say that the installation was ridiculously difficult (at least for me). The Fujita instructions aren't that good.

But in the end, all I can say is W-O-W! Above 3k RPM's, the wolf is screaming!! No regrets with the Fujita.
