I like my Fujita as well, and the think the build quality is at or better than AEMs. The build quality is top notch.

and by design they're so similar I can't see how they'd actually differ in power gains.
I say go for the Fujita, it really is a great product... and it comes with a stupid/cool gym bag.

AEM and FUJITA dynos both post similar whp gains. I did a comparison thread a while back.
Kennedy, you know I really didn't think that gym bag and hat was a big deal but I have stolen 2 of the hats out of some of the intakes I have here.. LOL.. it's kinda nice to get those.

if you go on there website they have a 2005 tl and it made 18hp and on aem website it made 19hp but of course they are using two different dynos and there are so many variables that you really cant go off of that. But for some reason on the tl's anyway the cai make pretty good horsepower.

AEMs for 07 TL Type S question...
AEMs' site posts at over $300 for the unit. My question is 1.) does adding the Fujita or AEM void ANY warrantee? ( I just got the car a month ago) and secondly does the Fujita fit the Type S (the website says up to 2006).
Also...will the addition of the abovementioned products make a difference in perfomance FELT..meaning not necessarily on Dyno but feeling it from the seat? Does it save FUEL CONSUMPTION? (Then I can talk wife into it!!!) and does it make the car sound BALLSY?? (more so..)
Thanks...(was face to face w/a new Mustang GT today and wanted to race in my TL-S but I was in my 98 Civic!!) who would win that one (in the TL-S)??
THanks!!!

as much as it seems sketchy that Excelerate really has a monopoly in our TL aftermarket parts...i have to admit, his prices aren't THAT low, but still lower than you'll find anywhere else...MINUS e-bay, but then quality isn't guranteed.
210 for it shipped in the 48 states is still better than anything found on ebay atm. not to mention, Excelerate has to provide good parts and service, because it is way to easy for him to lose accountability if he fucked up with the AZ members...
so stop flaming him about the price...it's already low, and so far i have yet to hear any real complaints against him. and keep the thread to what it should be. This is a Fujita CAI thread, and the three he wanted to sell are sold.
whatjones911 -
a) if you have a wife, the fujita doesnt really growl until past 3500 rpm so you could technically keep it relatively quiet if she doesnt like the noise.
b) yes you will feel a difference in driving response, and there is a power gain that you can noticeably feel.
c) if you want a constant growl, AEM is probably your answer.
d) yes ppl have been installing the 04-06 CAI's on the TL-S already

I paid $150 SHIPPED for my Fujita about 6 months ago. Was high quality in original box from an authorized dealer. May not still be available but it was at the time. I think that Excellerate mentioned that he had already sold out of the ones he had back then so maybe the price for a newer version is worthy of the $210 tag.

My intake increased my fuel efficiency from 30 mpg highway to about 32-33 mpg highway -- that's a fact, no other reason explains the increase and it correlates perfectly with the installation of my intake.
The AEM has that hole where you can push that sensor a littles ways away from the throttle body -- is it a temperature sensor or an o2 sensor? I forget, but they claim it increases the power.
I did before and after tests with that sensor in both locations and did not feel any noticeable gains either way -- so I leave it at the "modded" spot just in case it helps fuel efficiency.

Quick AEM CAI question, how difficult is it to install? I read that it takes about 2 hours, but it there anything preventing a normal mechanically inclined person from installing it?
Thanks.
Thanks.

NO, it just sucks to have to take your front bumper off especially if you have an A=Spec kit... If you can jack your front end up it is not that bad.. The stock airbox has plastic pieces and nuts and bolts all over the place, the AEM is much more straight forward. It will probably take you 3 hours total, Excellerate installed mine but having a lift makes it a sh1t load easier
