Flashpro or RV6 + jpipe HPFC

I just bought a type s A/T ASpec bone stock 2 weeks ago and I'm in a difficult position deciding whether I should go with a hondata flashpro ECU or rv6 exhaust system. Both will end up bein the same price after all set and done. I have a few Q's about the Flashpro.

Can flashpro help with gas mileage?
How much HP can I gain with Flashpro on a bone stock engine?
What other advantages do the ECU have?

if you're expecting noticeable gains with flashpro on a stock car then you will be disappointed

Get bolt ons first than bring it altogether with flashpro.

1. Not really. The flashpro by itself can't do much there, however freeing up the exhaust by removing cats can have some effect.

2. Not much, from my research, its less than 10hp on a stock car.

3. It can change the vtec point which can be beneficial on a automatic car that drops off more between shifts than a manual one does. It can also be the foundation for all future mods.

get the hpfc and j-pipe first.

flashpro should be the last thing to go on the car to fine tune everything

I would go with the hondata first. It's relatively expensive composted to a J pipe or PCD, but can be useful once you have those mods. If you start with it, it will benefit you for all your future mods.

^ you have to pay for tuning over and over and over.

Get everything done and then tune it once and for all. Don't be like me and get flash pro. Then add this, then change that, and then retune

I am pretty sure I need to pay vit again if I wanted to do a retune

Flashpro will get rid of knock counts that stock map has if you don't use 95-96+ octane gas... and not all tuner will charge for re-tune later on ...

^ This is why your my awesome tuner. lol

On a side note Dom. I think I have an exhaust leak. Not sure if its from the flex pipe or I crunched a hole in the resonators.

Thank for all your input guys, I appreciate it. I decided the ECU will be the last part I'll get since for now I am babying the car and not really beating her up to hard. The plans for her are...

1. AEM V2 Air Intake ( Any suggestions for A/T)
2. TEIN SS w/ EDFC
3 . 19x9.5 +22 w/stretched 35 series tires. (Wheel brand pending)
4. RV6 exhaust w/ jpipe HPFC
5. Last but not least, SUPERCHARGER!

Apparently I only use 92 from shells has station. What benefits does 95 octane do for the car?

I vote for Flashpro after all the bolt ons are in place. And I lost about 3 mpg after I was tuned.

Well I know that the 95 is not the normal gas grade in North America but that's what we would need to run a stock TL map knock free.

the Flashpro adjusts ignition, fuel, throttle response and more. It really changes how the car behaves and feels, and makes it smoother as well as more aggressive. It also opens the door for forced induction if you decide to go down that road in the future.

We have great sale pricing on the Flashpro right now! Feel free to send me a PM for details.

That EDFC live, is that new? I've seen an old EDFC before it wasn't an automatic one. But this version looks pretty darn cool! This would actually be very useful.

It came out about 1.5 years ago and is 10x better than traditional Edfc. It's one of my favorite mods.

There's a guy in the BM selling one, I helped him thru text messages on how to install and what to buy, but a week later his wife still wasn't hapoy with all his purchases so he had to uninstall it haha.

Let me know if you have any questions about it in general!

If I purchased the RV6 V3 jpipe with the HFPC, will I have a engine check light on due to car delete? and will I pass emissions?

No you will not have a check engine light because the 3rd cat isn't monitored by the ECU. There are no sensors plugged into the 3rd cat to monitor it.

With Pre-cat deletes it comes with defoulers to trick the ECU so the check engine light will not come on.

With HFPC you will not get a check engine light either.
