First upgrade for TL A-Spec?
I got a new Tl (well 2006 but new for me.) and I want to get an air intake or some pipes or both. I live in the bay area, california. What kind should I get in your opinions. Air intake first? Mufflers first?
TRying not to spend too much.
Anyone knows a good spot around the bay area from san jose to sacramento? to get it done?

ok i will get a rear sway bar from progress. what else do i need with it? need to get tein ss? as well or no. sorry about the newbness but i am ready. what is a good place to buyy this product as well? Thanks for the help gurus.
You do not need to buy the Tein SS coilovers with the RSB. The RSB is used for better handling, cornering, etc. while the coilovers are used to lower the car. Yes, when the car is lower, the quality of ride changes but these two mods do not need to be completed together.
The RSB by Progress is a great improvement, so I've heard, and I have to buy one myself. If you want to improve your ride quality then get the RSB; however, if you want to improve performance, sound, etc. then go with an intake or exhaust system. Intakes are a good way to start the process. There's plenty of things you can go for.
Specifically you need to decide between performance, aesthetics, or handling.
Good luck on your first mod and let us know how it goes.
Oh yeah, a good place to buy the Progress RSB is from an official vendor of these forums known as Excelerate. You can either PM him or click on the "Off Topic" button at the top of every page in this forum and then click on the Black Market button which will then lead you to the Sponsored Sales & Group Buys section where you will find a huge thread by Excelerate regarding the Progress RSB.

First i say congrats on the car

I have had a honda prelude 92' in the past and do know the feeling of low-ness to the ground. That car sat so that only a corvette would come by and be lower(stock). So I can appreciate both the cornering and grip a sway can give.
On responce to scotterson: I would have to say that The performance is important to me because I can feel my car lag at times and can feel it not lag on acceleration other times. This fuel management and emission control situation
has me looking for a solution. Well maybe not a total fix but something like cold- air intake or some pipes that might increase airflow.
I do like the looks of the car already. A-spec with the acura 5 stars.
When it comes to sound. Besides the rattle on the back deck that I know how to fix from reading the forums.
I used to have 15's and later I had 12's in the trunck of the prelude. So I miss a bit of bass.
Not like I'm 16 again bass (2 15's 2 12's back of 84 civic(cvcc) but more like I need the one 12 inch woffer expansion with the custom box so as not to take much room in the trunck with the amp setup. I have seen it here on acurazine.
It seems I am a bit of a growl junkie. I like the sounds cars make. The air intake would be good on the straighaways I suppose.
I do think the TL is built to be more of a ride comfort car so I can understand the bouncy springs but it seems very loose to me. Thanks for the responces.

Sorry.
i dont know about you, but i ride more comfortably when i know where the ass of my car is swinging.
the RSB gives you better response in your car, some my attribute this to ride discomfort, but drive your TL around for a week or two and if you feel like when you turn or go on butterflys/curves that you feel like 1/2 your car is with you and other 1/2 (the rear) is just kind of waving around (not THAT drastic, but it can feel pretty close) then i'd get the RSB.
if you're just looking for some gains, and a deeper sound in your car get a CAI. But imo, always go with improving handling first.
