Which filter?
Which filter?
I have heard that K&N filter are usually over oiled and lose flow after cleaning and recharge.
Do all other performance filters have the same issues?
I have heard AEM uses a dry filter?
Filter wise which do you guys like better and why? How is the maintainence?

K&N comes with the proper amount of oil-in a sealed bag no less!!
the problem is when you put too much oil in after cleaning. Cleaning not required
for 15-20 k for best performance ,and the kit does it 5 times. Many people think its a one use can - thats way too much!

We dont have the sensor wire that other cars have the problem with
All you need to do is normal spray carb cleaner maitenance of the Airflow meter- shoot- wipe- all good again, need to do that with any type filter on the TL
gunk gets on the throttle plate and makes for bad seal at idle

Sperate parts- You spray cleaner at the throttle plate that moves to allow more air in, and seals closed/nearly closed, at idle
Stuff gets on the edges of that plate- thats what you spray
The intake vac line feeds seafoam direct to the valves and pistons cleaning them
The gas tank method cleans the injectors for proper flow and spray and gets water out of the system

I dunno guys I'm not a big fan of cleaning and all that good stuff... I get fujita filters $30 a pop... so if cleaning is required swap it out for a new one...

The service manual says you have to be careful about what to use and where you shouldn't spray it.
It also recommends removing the TB to clean it.
Also says be careful if it is all together.....fly by wire doesn't care if your fingers are in the throat.
