First time to the roadcourse with the TL! Went to Motorsport Ranch Cresson in Texas with my East Texas racing crew (Civic Si, Nissan 240, Mazdaspeed3, Miata, Integra) This was the 3.1 mile course...
The TL, despite being an automatic and having an open differential, did fantastic out there! Best lap times were about 2:48...
The Hankook R-S3s, Carbotechs, Koni/H&R, plus exhaust/intake mods all performed flawlessly! And I never went off, so that's a plus!
Here are a bunch of pics with GoPro vids to follow later when I edit and upload them...any questions please ask!

You live in LA? Check out Laguna Seca, Buttonwillow and Willow Springs racetracks...the tracks out here in TX are $300 for the weekend event...

And here's the link for my seats/harnesses/harness bar...my pics are on post #27 and Inaccurate reposted them on post #122...
I have since unhooked my harnesses from the stock rear seat locations and completely wrapped them around the harness bar...I will post better pics soon!

Yup! I just gotta pay for them! About $70 and it's gone! I was just wanting to post them right now...I will definitely have vids up probably sometime next week!
I would so love to track my car. Especially as I have pretty much put suspension/drivetrain mods before power mods. And MidOhio is minutes away.
The only thing is I would not want to subject my front facing surfaces to that kind of possible debris. Are leather bras allowed on the track? Or is painters tape the only option?

The main day-ruiner is going off...where your whole front end, oil pan, suspension, etc can get destroyed...it all depends where and how you go off...so just don't do it!
BTW, if you or anybody is truly interested in actually tracking their car the number one items to do are:
1. Brakes - must be up to the task
2. Brake fluid - you do not want this boiling over trying to brake from 100-40
3. Tires - absolutely essential to keeping your beautiful TL on the track
Suspension, power mods are just nice to have and will make your experience more enjoyable, but are not essential. The MAIN mod you'll need to work on is the DRIVER MOD. I passed so many Corvettes, Lotus', Mustangs, etc only because I actually knew how to drive my car...

No prob bro!! Thanks for the compliment! I had such an amazing time out there with my crew and my instructor (who races NSX's) and I were completely surprised by how well the TL did! And I know! I gotta get these vids up quick! Hopefully by next week by the latest! I have spring break next week, so I'll def have a bunch o' time to edit and upload! Stay tuned!
Unfortunately I don't have anything to adjust my alignment, ie-Skunk camber arms...the alignment isn't OEM spec, but fortunately since it's lowered on the H&R sport springs it gives me *some* negative camber (which is a good thing for the track).
And it did great out on the track, but I am definitely gonna upgrade to the Skunks before the next track event...I definitely want like -2.5 up front at least...it'd be nice to shave off a few more seconds off my lap times....good question!

Thanks
Last session on Sunday I was trying to leave with everyone but I showed up late to grid. I was really hoping to break into the 2:30's with the Star specs, but I had a ton of under steer and a bit of brake fade.... Best I could manage was consistent 2:45's and maybe a 2:43 here and there.

Some video
1. this guy (Tom) was my first instructor and I went for a ride along this weekend since he's gotten faster.
2:23-2:25's all day long
2. Video from 1st session of Sunday morning... I think I was still half asleep.

have to have a traqmate or some sort of data logger to get data like that. Big bucks for most of those.
@RedRex - Two suggestions for you, if you're open to them. 1 would be get the steering wheel a bit closer to you. You are really reaching for it in some of the corners. You shouldn't be having to fully extend your arms to turn the wheel. 2, really try to "shuffle steer" more instead of keeping your hands on the same spot on the wheel and turning them all the way over in the tighter corners. Looks like a pretty fun track though.
Thats pretty sick man! I've always wanted attend one of these, hopefully I will be in the near future.
Hey vill0169, I would love to attend a track event with you sometime since your in FL.
