Exhaust setup and sounds....what to do????.....ugh
So I'm looking to get an exhaust setup on my 07 base. Im looking for the sound close to that of an infinity or 350z but a touch louder without rasp. Also looking to gain as much total HP as possible(isn't everyone?) I currently have a rv6 v2 jpipe and would like to know where to go from there. Here's my options I'm looking at.....
-PCD's(rv6 or xlr8)
-test pipe(so many options) or high flow 3rd cat
-xlr8, ATLP, or evo2/evo3 catback exhaust(if available when I purchase)
-possible resonator
I also have an aem v2 and p2r spacer for the vehicle(not that it really matters LOL)
Anyone who can post a list of their mods, pics, videos, thoughts, ect to help me decide would be a huge help. Thanks again!

I too have a P2R spacer, AEM v2 intake, and rv6 V3 j-pipe.
I went with the Stage 3 exhaust mod to get an exhaust note similar to that of the G35. (pretty cheap mod).
Now, trying to save money for a rv6 true dual exhaust.

Thanks for the replys. Any pics videos? I've seen lots on you tube but nothing real definative as to what I'm looking for. Maybe some of the videos don't do justice but I have seen some good ones as well.

if your going for sound vs power i would go rv6 pcds->rv6 jpie>evo 2/3 but you might need to get a bigger resonator as you will get raspy around 3-5k rpm but im not sure about the evo 2 but i know you will get raspy. if you going to get a test pipe mind as well save up 2 - 3 hundred more and get the jpipe more power if you cant pass smog with pcds get the hfpc

Burning Brakes
For me with previous Fujita intakes on a K20 and Accord, they tend to stall and run lean without a piggy back to support it. I love the intake, but with it running lean all the time, the injectors will get hit first leading to some back fire at high rpm or bad gas mileage.
If you were to go on the dyno, try back to back the stock intake vs the F5 intake plus all your tasteful mods. (stock intake would be a pain to install put would be nice test it on a friends car that has a stock intake)

Advanced
I have the Xlr8 v2 quads with res, v1 jpipe and test pipe on my car and I LOVE IT!!!! When it backfires, total Sexxxyness. It's hard for me to drive "normal" with the way the car sounds. Pretty sure people gonna chime in and be bias and say atlp is better or whatever. I've never heard any of the other exhaust systems so I can't say much but Xlr8 has a very very nice sounding exhaust system. Loud enough but not too loud but loud enough for me. With people in the car and radio off I can hold a convo without the exhaust over powering.
Hope this little bit of info helps out anyone who is looking to buy an exhaust system.
