^if you're real low on cash, i would just save that $600 until you can afford to modify your car and eat dinner at the same time.

i know having a loud exhaust may seem like the most important thing in the world. but trust me, it's not.

if you're not willing to spend over 600, we have these really cool cheap exhaust mods that you can do.

you can replace the mid-muffler with a straight pipe that will net you a sound like a G35.
for only like 50-80 dollars depending on the shop you go to

mid-muffler delete: go to a shop that works on exhaust. Just tell them you want to delete the mid-muffler and straight pipe it. Runs $30-$60

I'll let others comment on the tips. I like the stock TL tips. Always have since I saw my first 3rd gen in 2004. Never seen a reason to modify them just for the sake of being different. If I were replacing mufflers I'd look at my options. But switching tips on the same mufflers seems silly to me.

Definitely recommend the Stage 3 exhaust mod. Just YouTube it for sounds clips.

I saw a catback on eBay for $520 shipped, anybody running it?. Not sure of quality but it says all stainless and the pipe is 2.5" instead of 2.25". I don't think the catbacks are worth the money for these cars, I just bought mine yesterday and I knew before I got it I was gonna get a J pipe and delete the mid muffler. Maybe pre cat deletes down the road.

For me my j-pipe was $418 with tax, mid-muffler delete was $42.
The CAI was another $200 and the sound under throttle is superb.

I kept the stock resonator. Stage 4 exhaust IMO sounds way to raspy.

Then you want to have the muffler and resonator removed and replaced with a magnaflow or dynomax resonator

the strange sound is rasp

Or you can try this and have it weld by a shop. They also offer an already welded magnaflow resonator for 70$. Just add 2 Dynomax turbo mufflers for 55$ each. They offer it, I've ask.

I haven't try it yet so don't know a it fits. might buy it in a month or so

Also for anyone that did a stage 3 (I'm assuming this is leaving in the res and deleting all 3 mufflers) how much pipe did you need? I have a few friends that weld, I can kinda do it but don't trust myself, I just wanna buy pipe and have it ready, maybe find a stainless piece online so it doesn't rust out.
