Excelerate Performance: HONDATA Flashpro Sale!!!

For those of you who didn't see our post in the Flashpro thread, we are running a one-time sale. It offers a significant discount off of retail price, and the sale pricing is good regardless of how many people are on the list.

Use promo code ACURAZINEFP for the AZ special pricing.

Ordered it yesterday... great price guys! Just one thing, there was no option for the free shipping. I ordered it anyways with the ground shipping rate..how will that be taken care of?
Thanks again!

^^^ I'll make it easy for ya, buy it. If you have any bolt-ons (hell even if it's completely stock) Flashpro will make it all come together...I guarantee the dynos will be more than good, just going by other dynos from other vehicles with Flashpro...the TL will have similar results if not better...
im anxious to see the stock + flash-pro results.
My car is stock, and since i commute the shit out of it i currently have no plans for any real "mods". But despite that, I am super anxious to see the gains with this as it should noticeably increase performance with absolutely no negative effects on comfort/drivability. This wont be my first rodeo with tuning, and from my past experiences this has always been the most rewarding modification I've done to any car.

the promo price is like 620 bucks - you aren't going to accrue 80 dollars of interest in 1-2 months on that balance, lol. You'll still be ahead of the game.
again that's only if you already know you're getting a refund - I wouldn't recommend credit if you don't have guaranteed cash arriving in 1-2 months.
if you have a tax refund coming (that you know of for sure), why not put it on credit and pay it off when your refund comes?

everyone has been talking this mod up big time and reading about it seems pretty legit but I'll probably wait to see some results. the bad part is now i'm like should i get a CAI, HFPCs, on and on...
Here's why (from Hondata):
The 07 Acura TL was the first TL to use the CAN programming protocol. This allows the ECU to be programmed in under 2 minutes and easily recover from programming mishaps such a drop in battery voltage or accidentally disconnecting the FlashPro during programming. The 04-06 TL ECUs take much longer to program (making them less suitable for dyno tuning) and are susceptible to damage rendering them unusable should the programming process be interrupted. FlashPro cannot program ECUs using the earlier K-Line communications protocol.

No, he's not, but I did have to read his response a few times to realize it. I thought the same as you. He's saying the only 6-speeds in 07-08 were Type-S's only, not in Base form...

Its funny people think this is a plug and play as well....
different cars, different mods, different tunes....
the only reason why i thought the MS3 was plug and play coz Rodney told me he is going to tune each ECU with the mods the buyer has....so if you have an intake and I am fully bolted on, we will receive "customized" tunes....well forget the tune, many are still waiting on our ECU's

Just thought I'd mention something we're working on. We are trying to have a harness made to allow the 07-08 ECU to be used on a 04-06 TL. Can anyone tell me if we get the harness made whether the 07-08 ECU can be used on a 04-06 TL?

Until someone actually tries this there are some major unknowns (to me).
The 06 is close although there are several additional pins that are on the 07/08 that are not on the 06 and even less on the 04/05.
The swapped ecu is going to have a different VIN if purchased used and unknown if purchased new.
The immobilizer will need to be updated or replaced to match the ECU.
Who knows about the cluster and navigation but since people have had success with the 07/08 navi in the older models is a good sign.
If you use an AEM harness and are able to remove the pins from the plugs, then you can re-pin it to what the 04 needs.
The other question is how the firmware will react to the missing inputs (key switch, 2nd coolant temp sensor, etc).

Wellll Anil, the Flashpro will pretty much be plug and play right out the box...having the Cobb AP for my former Civic Si, and of course reading up about the FP for the Si, i can say it has a decent tune right off the bat. BUT of course to get the absolute most out of it you would need a true professional tune...I tuned mine on my own and that was actually half the fun of it! Changing various parameters and see what feels and drives good (without breaking crap) is le good times....
its a win/win for everybody.

I think you guys missed my point....
if Fenda Rolla (Peter) is completely bolted on and Chris is stock....you guys will receive the same tune out of the box from Kpro...and you will have to mess with the tune to get the most out of the unit....same was the case with MS3....only with the MS3 there are a ton more parameter/features to control/manage....
either way.....i dont think i will be able to run Hondata anyway, so i will just keep on reading and learning

Anil, the Cobb AP for the Si had base maps for various mods, for example Stage 1 for stock or intake and Stage 2 for intake and header...both stages had different parameter adjustments for each intake/tune... it remains to be seen if the Flashpro for the TL will have different base maps as well...

^^^ Now that....
If that is the case I stand corrected....if hondata is supplying different tunes (stages) and different maps for different scenarios, it would be awesome
btw I still cant find a 55" NRG bar...measure it up and text me if you can please

Quick post from my cell:
Chris, I know Hondata is a lot more recognized than Rodney tuning the MS3...I would highly suggest u to ask Hondata to make sure your assumption is correct. To get the base tunes right to different mods, they would need different TL(s) with those mods to tune and test and provide a base map...
Either way I was just making sure nothing was left unchecked

The civic si comes with like 20 base maps out of the box. But it has been out for few years already. I hope ours come with similar but I doubt that because its new nd only tested on 1 car so far.
No one can predict the future of a company, but as long as Hondata stays in business they will continue to support this platform. But even if they don't, the Flashpro for the TL can still be able to be used for modding.
