It'll run hotter when the car is moving. I tried this in one of my old cars when it used to overheat back in highschool. It builds up pressure under the hood and air stops flowing through the radiator. One thing I did was remove the rubber seal that seals the hood to the car near the windshield. Not sure if the TL has this seal or not.

I was gonna mention raising up the rear of the hood... this one guy had washers where his hood mounted to the cowl area, which lifted up the rear of the hood quite a bit. Looks kinda off though
