Eibach Pro or Comptech Sport

I am looking to stay close to stock, improve my handling and keep costs down. I have searched but I was not able to find a comparison....anyone wish to share their opinions on the two? Any answers will be greatly appreciated...

For better results you should post this in the Tires, Wheels & Suspension area of the 3G forum. but for your question, I would save $$$ and go coilovers ~ AMAZING handiling and if you go Tein SS you can adjust the damping so its not to harsh a ride.

I once held Eibach Prokit and Comptech at the same time, one in each hand and they looked 100% identical. The color, the metallic specs in the paint, the number of coils, the length, everything, except the brands are exactly the same. I believe Comptech springs for the 3gen TL are rebadged Eibach Prokit.

Unfortunately, I didn't install the Comptech so I can't compare the ride quality.

Secondly, I paired Koni Sport with the Eibach, so I can't comment on the ride quality of Eibach on stock shocks as well.

If you want near stock ride quality, Eibach (and Comptech) or H&R Sport on stock shocks should do just that. I don't think you'll get better handling but be prepared to actually lose some.

I'm running H&R Sport on stock shocks right now (I'm going to order Koni SP3 shocks soon) and I think the car doesn't handle better than stock if not slightly worse. The stock shocks are too soft to handle the increased spring rates.

The car rides pretty close to stock, so it's nice there. But when you are on a high speed sweeps and the road is undulating, the car could start bouncing.

I've heard that Comptech springs and Eibach are exactly the same...

the tein h tech spring drop it only .6 inches all the way around actually not as low as the eibach pro kit which I think is 1 inch. I heard they ride pretty good but as long as you stick with a name brand and dont drop it lower than an inch you should be fine.

Comptech has subbed out to Eibach on some of their spring setups and on the 2nd gen and 3rd gen TL that is the case.

If you need either set let me know.
