none of the above... this one does

i still kick myself in the ass for getting rid of it. it was by far the BEST performing jpipe i owned and the clearance was great too.

i seriously believe all the jpipe designs will give you very simular peak HP gains. low to mid end is a whole different story and thats where longer primaries shine

Wow this thread is great thanks for posting all the info guys. I really wanna get a j-pipe now and was mainly set on getting the XLR8 pipe. I have used B&B exhaust products on my C6 Corvette and everything was great highly recommended. I dont really feel like spending over $400 bucks but it sounds like its really worth it. I will probably do the XLR8 J-pipe and a cold air intake I would think that will help out my 07 Type S nicely :-)

P.S. I know they say the XLR8 is the least lowered friendly, but how will it be for a mildly lowered car? Its stock now but I have considered getting H&R Sports which I think are only like 1.5"ish front and rear. Any input on a standard lowering?

anything but stock height and it will be quickly destroyed, trust me. im not exactly slammed to the ground, but still managed to scrape the flex pipe on my ATLP V2. XLR8 is basically a clone of the ATLP V1. this is what mine looked like after a few months.

if i were you, i'd go ATLP V2 all the way for peace of mind. plus, your not going to feel a difference between the two.

^^^ wow thats pretty bad thanks for the info. Since the HP difference would be minimal to none between the ATLP V2 and XLR8 I think you might be right about getting the ATLP. Piece of mind knowing that if I do decide to lower the car I will be safe.

Where is the best place to buy the ATLP?

I have the XLR8 with H&R Sport springs. The drop isn't much, but the J-pipe sits low, I have scraped it once in about two months, so if you drop it with those springs, you'll be fine. Now that I wanna go lower...I kinda wish I got the ATLP V2.

However, I love the XLR8 J-Pipe, built strong, felt the gains. Nothing but satisfied.

+1. I'm drop on Tein Basics with less than a finger gap. My pipe sits low, but don't scrape it much. Love the gains though!
